Examples

Think of your loved ones' favorite things. My husband loved being at the lake. For his birthday, my family spent the day at the lake sharing stories and happy moments we had there. For Father's Day, we cooked his favorite meal and celebrated what a great Father he was. You could set a place at the table to honor your loved one. The important thing is that you let your family and friends know what you want to do ahead of time so there won't be any surprises or disappointment when someone does or doesn't do something you want. Keep the day joyous by sharing memories, stories, and laugh. That is what your loved one would want.
